"The first two years you’ll touch on almost all areas of business.
In third year you get the chance branch off into whichever area you enjoyed the most including Economics & Finance, HR, Management, Accounting or Marketing.
You also get the chance to study abroad or go on a work placement.
Students on my course have completed work placement in companies such as State Street, Zurich Insurance and Citi Bank.
Many of my friends have gone to Canada, the US, Spain, France and Holland on study abroad for a semester."
Study the Bachelor of Business (Hons) at WIT
The Bachelor of Business is a four-year level 8 course gives the student a broad discipline of knowledge regarding business and students can expect to study the following in depth; statistics, microeconomics, financial accounting and have the opportunity to study a language.
While studying the Bachelor of Business, students have the opportunity to apply for a number of scholarships and awards, including the John Hume Scholarship, the Granville Hotel marketing student of the year award and the Irish Tax Institute for Taxation award.
Having completed the degree, students will also face exemptions from Professional Bodies such as; Examinations F1, F2, and F3 of the professional examinations of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Examinations C01 to C05 inclusive of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
Numerous follow on study options at SETU are available to graduates of the Bachelor of Business (Hons) including a Master of Business and a Master by Research.
