WIT are currently recruiting for the next intake of our BA Hons. in Teaching in Further & Adult Education. This is a Teaching Council-approved teacher education qualification.
The School of Lifelong Learning and Education at South East Technological University (WIT) is now recruiting for our Teacher Education programme, the BA Honours in Teaching in Further and Adult Education which will start in January 2017.
This teacher education programme is recognised by the Teaching Council as a recognised teaching qualification for the FE sector. It is delivered in part-time mode on Fridays and Saturdays over an 18-month period and is the equivalent to the fourth year of a BA (Hons). Applicants are required to already hold a BA (Ord) at Level 7 in Adult Education or equivalent qualification in the adult education/FE area. In addition, applicants need to have a minimum of three years professional experience in adult/further education since the programme is aimed at experienced practitioners.
The delivery model of the programme has been designed to facilitate the working practitioner and is based on weekend teaching blocs and the use of SETU's Virtual Learning Environment to allow students to undertake independent learning and to engage online with peers from the programme.
