BEng (Honours) in Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering student Maurice Foley receives award for his time and dedication onsite during work placement
A SETU student has won the award for best work placement student with Genzyme in 2015.
Maurice Foley was awarded Co-Op Student for 2015 with Genzyme for his time and dedication onsite.
The BEng (Honours) in Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering student was on placement in Process Engineering with Genzyme from April to late August 2015.
Through Genzyme's student programmes, highly qualified college and graduate students participate in paid, temporary assignments. Co-Op ("cooperative education") assignments and internships provide exposure to a fast-paced and collaborative environment, allowing students to work closely with Genzyme professionals.
Genzyme’s annual award was open to eight students in total and is based on manager feedback during time spent during their placement programme and presentation. Four students went on to do the presentation.
