Robert Greenan from Newtownmountkennedy, Co Wicklow talks about how playing football with WIT cemented friendships throughout his time in college

What brought you to Waterford?

I decided that early on I wanted to go away from Dublin and get out of home.... I decided to save myself expenses so I decided I’ll come to Waterford so I wouldn’t have to live at home for the next four years.

Do you have any stand out experiences from your time in WIT?

Yeah it’s been great fun, I still have a year left but playing with the college Gaelic team was great. In first year we got to the quarter finals of the All-Ireland and two of us continued on to the senior football team. So it’s been a great experience overall.

You say you have a year left what are you going on to do?

I’m going on to do my level 8 BSc (Hons) in Applied Health Care

How do you feel to be graduating today?

Happy enough now should be a good day spent with family and friend so looking forward to getting it going now

Are you excited for your next year of college?

Yeah nearly half way through it now so I’m really enjoying it at the moment.
