"Waterford is so different from China there’s a lot less people here so it is a lot more relaxed"

Wei Pengcheng talks about his experience in Waterford and being the first student from Qingdao Hotel Management College in China to study abroad at WIT

What are you doing now that you have finished the course?
One of my undergraduate teachers actually recommended me for a job so now I’m working in the Cliff House Restaurant in Ardmore.

What brought you to WIT?
When I was back home in China I attended Qingdao Hotel Management College and found the opportunity to study abroad that’s how I found WIT which seemed like the best option for me. I was actually the first student from Qingdao College to study abroad in Waterford. So I have studied here for two years now, one year undergraduate and one year doing my Masters.

What did you enjoy studying in Waterford?
I enjoyed studying here because Waterford is so different from China there’s a lot less people here so it is a lot more relaxed and it was much easier to focus on my studies.
