Destiny brought Mei Long to study at SETU - an amazing experience for Mei who loves the green in Ireland, the culture of Ireland and the people
Name: Mei Long
Course title: Master in Business, Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship
Hometown: Sichuan. I grew up in Sichuan in China, a place where people love eating hot Chilli spicy food. Tears can drops if the people from other place try our food. In my hometown people have lots of things to do in the evening, because most shops close at midnight.
Why WIT: Destiny brought me here. I wouldn’t go abroad if I hadn’t got the scholarship offered by SETU. I love the green in Ireland, the culture of Ireland and the People of Ireland.
Course choice: I was doing a totally different programme for my bachelor degree in China, that took me four years and I got bored to that, so I decided to try something new.
Study path: I studied in China before here. Thanks for SETU offered me scholarship then I was able to come to Ireland.
Extracurricular activities: I haven’t joined any clubs but I usually spend my spare time with my assignments, traveling and exercise
What are your recommendations to future visiting scholars? Here in Ireland, especially in Waterford, if you don’t like pubs or parties, then you’d better keep some hobbies like hitting the gym or cycling or reading to spend your free time, which is very healthy.
