WIT currently offers a study abroad programme within the School of Engineering, and plans to expand this to other faculties in response to demand
Waterford Institute of Technology was recently paid a visit by Enterprise Ireland along with a host of agents from a number of Brazilian universities that SETU hope to strengthen their academic links with.
While visiting the institute, the agents were also keen to form a better understanding of the Higher Education system that Ireland offers. WIT’s relationship with Brazilian universities is well established and has long been one of the largest group of International students welcomed to the college each year.
International Affairs Manager Sinead Day, welcomed the visit “WIT has an established network of study abroad and research university partners in Brazil, and very much welcomed the recent visit of education agents facilitated by Enterprise Ireland,” she said.
Day added that SETU "currently offers a study abroad programme within the School of Engineering, and plans to expand this offering to other faculties in response to market demand. Of particular interest to our Brazilian visitors were the areas of Business, ICT and Hospitality”.
