With WIT's REPs Ireland accredited Personal Training or Group Fitness Instructor Certificate you can advance your passion for fitness into a successful career

People who would like to take a passion for fitness a step further have two part-time options this spring.

Certificate in Personal Training

The part-time Certificate in Personal Training will run in the WIT Arena from Saturday, 10 February. Applications for the Certificate in Personal Training are open now and will close Friday, 26 January 2018.

The Certificate in Personal Training is a 30 credit course aimed at providing students with an advanced level, industry recognised, qualification in Personal Training. This course is linked to the Level 6 Certificate in Fitness Instruction and all participants must hold this award or equivalent to be eligible for entry to the course. It is also open to graduates of the BBS In Recreation and Sport Management who might like to pursue a career in the fitness industry.

If you would love to work with groups, WIT also offers the Certificate in Group Fitness which will start Saturday, 3 February 2018. The class will run on alternative Saturdays over 7 weeks and take place in the WIT Arena. Applications will close on Friday, 26 January 2018.

Certificate in Group Fitness Instruction

The Certificate in Group Fitness Instruction prepares the participant to teach any group exercise class, such as aerobics, circuit training (including HIIT), strength and conditioning and step aerobics. During the course the students learn to plan, choreograph, deliver and instruct innovative group exercise classes. This award meets the standards required by REPS Ireland for entry to the Group Fitness Instructor category of the register.  It is open to anyone who holds a Level 6 Certificate in Fitness Instruction from WIT or equivalent qualification from another institution.  It is also open to graduates of the BBS in Recreation and Sport Management who would like to gain an additional qualification in the fitness industry.
