The 19th Annual PriceWaterhouseCoopers Scholarship Award ceremony took place on Monday, 23 October 2017. Mr. Martin Freyne, Managing Partner of PWC, presented the award to the 2017 recipient, Noel Whelan. Merit awards were also presented to Nick Byrne, Louise Honey and Mury Idris.

The PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) Scholarship is an annual award given to a high achieving student who has completed Year One of the BA (Hons) in Accounting programme.

Although primarily based on academic achievement, it also involves an interview process with PWC, who then award the scholarship based on the combination of both. In recent times, Merit awards have been given to other high achieving students.

The Scholarship has been running for 19 years and many past recipients have gone on to train with PWC and to pursue very successful careers in the accountancy field.
