The initial focus for the Women in Technology Society is the [email protected] Day which will be held on International Women’s Day 2018, at the WIT Arena
The Department of Computing and Mathematics in WIT recently held its first Women in Technology student meeting. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the possibility of setting up a Women in Technology Student Society.
All female students from the computing and engineering programmes were invited and there was a strong presence on the day. The students showed great enthusiasm about the initiative and have decided to set up a '[email protected]' student committee to drive it forward.
The initial focus for the society is the [email protected] Day which will be held on International Women’s Day, 8 March 2018, at WIT Arena.
This is great opportunity to start 2018 on the right foot for women in these areas of study in WIT.
