Inaugural WIT colour run sees participants covered in coloured powder to help highlight the issue of mental health for young people
2nd year nursing students from the Department of Nursing and Health Care were some of many who took part in the inaugural WIT colour run.
As part of Positive Mental Health Week in January the WIT Students Union decided to organise a colour run to increase awareness around mental health. During the run there were a number of stations where volunteers threw coloured powder at the participants. Second year nursing students Julie Guerin and Anna Geary said that the run was a great opportunity to highlight the issue of mental health for young people and within WIT.
