WIT electronic engineering students recently ran a table quiz in association with the School of Engineering to raise funds for the Solas Centre, Waterford.
A total of 270 euro was raised and this was presented to Ann Marie Power, fundraising co-ordinator, at the Solas Centre on the 2nd of June 2016. This was the third year that the quiz was ran by students and these activities have raised in excess of €1000.00 for the Solas Centre.

The Solas Centre provides vital support services to cancer patients, their families and carers and is totally reliant on income raised through fundraising.

Also, sincere thanks to Aishling, Cathy and Katie, members of staff from WIT’s Student Life and Learning service for all their help and great organisational skills. Thanks to Stephen O'Shea, a former electronic engineering student, for his inimitable quiz master skills and joke-telling ability.
