First and second year Construction Managment, Quantity Surveying and Civil Engineering students, along with lecturers John Carney, Tomás O’Donoghue and Susan Gallagher recently took part in a site visit along the River Suir, visiting some of the engineering features along the way.
The visit consisted of a walk past the sewage treatment plant, over to the Port of Waterford, past Great Island power station and on to Dunbrody Abbey.
Along the way, the group learnt about wastewater treatment in Waterford, viewed some of the structures that make up the port, and explored Dunbrody Abbey.
