First year students from WIT recently had the opportunity to visit a site in Waterford owned by the Industrial Development Authority (IDA). The development is being constructed by Walls Construction of Co. Dublin and is located at the IDA Technology Park, Butlerstown, Cork Road, Waterford.
The site of this Advanced Technology Building is 5500m² and will consist of a part two-storey and part double height single storey building of 2800m², with associated car parking, delivery yard, landscaping, site services and sundry related works.
The Project Manager on site is Mr. Jimmy Byrne, a past graduate of Construction Management & Engineering programmes, within the Department of the Built Environment.
