After graduating from Waterford Institute of Technology with a Level 6/7/8 Engineering degree in Electronic Engineering, I have had the opportunity to further develop my skill set in the tech industry and work in several different areas. These courses really prepare you to adapt to the constantly changing and evolving work environment.
An engineering degree really does open doors to pursue many different types of jobs. The courses have given me a wide range of skills including key business skills such as problem solving and collaboration, both of which are highly sought after by companies.
I work daily with our media customers who are using Intel Architecture (IA) in their product designs to create better, faster Media Encoding/Decoding, Processing and Video Applications for Digital Surveillance, Retail, Industrial, Smart Home, Video Conferencing, TV Video Streaming and more using our Intel Media SDK. Another requirement of this role is the development work as a team on new communications products or PoCs (Proof of Concept) for sales opportunities or customer demos.
