WIT graduate and Irish rugby star Elaine spoke to current students about surviving being a student nurse and her journey from nursing to Lieutenant.
The Department of Nursing and Healthcare was delighted today to welcome back a graduate from 2014, Lieutenant Elaine Anthony.
Elaine was a scholarship student in WIT and undertook a BSc in Nursing and is now a Lieutenant in the army, based in the Curragh, Kildare. Throughout her time in WIT Elaine combined her studies with a career in rugby, playing at the highest level. She currently playing for Lenister and the Irish Ladies Rugby team.
Elaine gave the 4th year students a very insightful talk into how to survive life as a student nurse and how to be successful in life.
