Business students got to dive into the real world of work to look at a retail digital marketing strategy from Waterford's 'Gregory's Clothes for Men'

Integrating coursework with real businesses is critical for today's students, and this is a priority on the WIT Bachelor of Business (Hons) programme.

The strategy for the Digital Marketing Planning module (taught by Dr Ethel Claffey and Dr Anthony Foley) is to place students in a realistic business setting in order to develop their digital marketing skills. The retail sector was identified as a great context to investigate the development of effective digital marketing strategies.

This gave students a taste of real-world company engagement within an evolving and demanding market environment.

"We were fortunate that Greg Pheasey of Gregory's Clothes for Men, Patrick Street, Waterford kindly agreed to provide Gregory's as an excellent case study for the class. The personal business insights that Greg gave to the students was invaluable," explain Dr Claffey and Dr Foley.
