Controversial election posters for the recent referendum were an eyesore. Dr Jennifer Kavanagh gives some insight on possible changes for the better.

The use of posters during the eighth amendment referendum elections have been a big topic of conversation. There have been multiple complaints about the use of posters and also what was on certain posters.

In Today FM Matt Cooper talks to Dr Jennifer Kavanagh, lecturer at Waterford Institute of Technology and author of Electoral Law in Ireland. Dr Kavanagh gives her opinion about following the example of other European countries where election posters are restricted in a way that every party gets a space to put their poster on.
