Jennifer Kavanagh, a Law lecturer in the School of Humanities at Waterford Institute of Technology, took part in the much talked about debate on Freedom of Expression and Blasphemy legislation on RTE’s Primetime last week.
Miriam O’Callaghan, Ali Selim and Jennifer engaged in the robust discussion, which ultimately arose from the recent terrorist activities in Paris.
Jennifer, whose areas of expertise and interest lie in constitutional law, media law, politics and the law as freedom of expression and blasphemy laws, was described in the Irish Independent as “showing bottle” in what was a tough examination of the laws surrounding blasphemy and Freedom of Expression.
