Tell me about your college experience?
I originally went to CIT where I got my base degree in engineering. I graduated in 2011 and then I worked in two different industries. I started a Master’s program then in 2016. Initially it was tough, I was working a full time job and trying to do evening classes and at the weekend. And you’re trying to get back to the headspace of learning. It was very tough a bit of a shock to the system but when that kind of subsided I got into a bit of a rhythm. And I started to enjoy it, I started to enjoy the challenge, enjoy the learning experience again. So overall it was a very positive experience, it was challenging but I got a lot of opportunities because of it, and met a lot of great people and learned a lot. Overall very positive.
What are you doing now?
I work in pharmaceuticals, I am a lean coach in Sanofi in Waterford. Previous to that I was in engineering. And by doing a postgraduate diploma in lean sent me in that direction so now I work full time I that area.
