Why did you choose your course/ to study at WIT/ study in Waterford?
I have always wanted to complete my education by doing a degree in music. I live in Tramore so it made perfect sense to attend WIT.
What advice would you give to students considering your course?
Enjoy it where possible and ask for help / advice as soon as you need it. Ignore people who say there is no career opportunities.
What advice would you give to those unsure of college or of what course to pick?
Just do it. It'll be the best thing you ever do.
What do you hope to do when you graduate?
I have gone on to complete my Masters.
What made you decide to apply to WIT as a mature student?
I never attended college when I finished school. In my 30s, I felt that I was ready to put all my effort into it.
Details of work/studies prior to studying at WIT
MA in Creative Music Technologies. I now work for two radio stations in a career that is related to my studies.
Can you recall your feeling when finding out you were offered a place in WIT?
I was overjoyed.
Are you happy with your decision to come back to college?
Extremely happy
What advice would you give to students considering your course?
The course can be difficult at times but try to use all the resources available to you. Persevere and it will be worth it.
What modules or part of your course do you like the most? and why?
Performance and Music Tech because I got the chance to be creative and expressive.
What advice would you have for students about getting through college?
Try stay on top of studies. Socializing is important, but it is important to keep on top of studies.

I joined a Music ensemble that we kept going after college had ended.
