Padraig shares his thoughts about the course and advises prospective students to work hard in first year and not leave everything to the last minute
Padraig Foran graduated from WIT in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Creative Computing. He chose this course as it suited his interest and it was quite near, so it was easy for him to commute. This is similar to many students who chose where and what they want to study.
The Course
Padraig liked the fact that there was such a mix and variety of programmes and designs that are in the course. There are many different aspects that many people wouldn’t think are in it such as photography which Padraig mentioned. “It helps if you aren’t sure what you want to do as you get to try lots of things”, he said.
Classes
For Padraig he said, “I really enjoyed the practicals, I didn’t enjoy the lectures as much. I prefer a hands-on approach, so it helped me learn more from them.”
Wise Words
Padraig, having just finished, knows what it is like transitioning from school into college. It is a daunting experience for anyone to endure. “You should work hard in first year and it will make the rest of the years in college much easier. If you work at the same level throughout your time in college it will be easier. Don’t leave everything to the last minute, you should get it done as soon as possible,” Padraig advised.
