The BA (Hons) in Visual Art graduate has been awarded the Lewis Crosby Prize for her sculpture constructed from recycled wood
Artist Clare Scott has been awarded the Lewis Crosby Prize at this year’s RDS Visual Art Awards. Clare graduated from BA (Hons) in Visual Art in 2017.
She has won the award for her most recent Master of Fine Art work on the MA: Art & Process course at CIT, Cork and was previously shortlisted for her BA Degree presentation at WIT in 2017. Her work is primarily sculptural with roots in the processes of painting. Constructions are temporary, site-specific and made from recycled materials such as wood, cardboard, fabric and plastic.
Huge congratulations to Clare on this massive achievement and we wish her all the best in her future artistic career from all in the WIT Visual Arts department.
