How do you believe the course will benefit your career in the long-term?
The modules that I learned are very specific to the role of a BSA, they have given me the grounding and the fundamentals that will prepare me for the future.
How did you enjoy the experience of returning to education?
As a parent and in full-time employment trying to juggle education is very tough, however, with the help and guidance from our tutors I found it easy to keep up with the demands. It was exciting returning to education; I do believe you should never stop learning and I am delighted that I chose Waterford Institute of Technology to help me on my continuous learning pathway.
What personal benefits do you believe you have gained?
I have gained some lifelong skills that I can take into my employment and personal life. The friends I have made will be one of the great takeaways. As a mature student that wants to learn I felt surrounded by like-minded people such as my classmates and tutors alike.
What was the positive impact of Covid-19 on the overall course delivery or assessments?
Covid has impacted everyone in some way shape or form and college is no different, saying that I felt the way the college acted was very professional and it didn’t cause me or my classmates any delays in our education. The tutors were very supportive throughout and still are to this day. The online facilities available to us have really helped us continue without any disruptions whilst still getting that classroom feel which is difficult to pull off.
