Nomiation
Siobhán explains why she was nominated for the Dairymaster Student Award
I was nominated by my college lecturers. This award was based on our final year Thesis project and presentation to which 6 peers and I were shortlisted. Dairymaster then proceeded to evaluate each project to which two winners were picked.
My Project was titled "An Investigation into the development of a Pre-Ruminant Digestion System through the parameters of Colostrum Quality, Feeding Management, Diet and Health Effects" to which Zerlina Pratt supervised. I am honoured to be a recipient of such an award as I know my year group set the standard very. I was not expecting to be recognised for such an award however, I am absolutely delighted that my long hours and dedication to such project have been recognised.
Grateful
“I am beyond grateful to be one of two winners of such award. A massive Thank you to Dairymaster for their continuous support of our Agricultural Science course. To be recognised alone was a huge achievement to me, but winning really is a feeling like no other. The academic year was very challenging for us all, Thank you to our lecturers and supervisors who went beyond all lengths to help us through our final year and support us no matter what the day or hour.”
Her dreams for the future
I hope to delve into the Agricultural Industry to which I can apply the wide range of knowledge gained from my time in WIT while also broadening my knowledge. Agriculture is a sector which is consistently expanding to bigger operations, to which comes a high demand on effectiveness and efficiency. I Hope to be able to offer solutions to such demands through my keen interest in nutrition, I hope to excel in this area.
