PMBRC-sponsored awards for best research project presentation helps students develop research skills and apply knowledge learned during their studies
The importance of helping students develop research skills is being highlighted with a new annual award for fourth year students of the BSc (Hons) in Pharmaceutical Science.
Shannon Lacey and Anna Walsh have been named as the Research Project Presentation Prize winners for 2015.
This is the inaugural year of awarding the prizes for excellence in the literature review project presentation, in the areas of ‘synthesis’ and ‘analytical science’.
The awards have been sponsored by the Pharmaceutical and Molecular Biotechnology Research Centre (PMBRC) at WIT. Dr Niall O’Reilly Centre Manager explains: “We are delighted to sponsor the prizes for the best research project presentation. The fourth year project is an important opportunity for students to develop research skills and apply the knowledge learned in their studies to date. The PMBRC has supported fourth year students in their research projects over the last number of years and look forward to continuing this into the future."
