Gráinne McGrath, Bachelor of Science in Agriculture graduate, travelled from Co, Offaly to WIT to complete a course she was passionate about
“I come from a small area outside Tullamore in Offaly, so I’ve always been surrounded by agriculture.
We’re not farmers ourselves, but my parents being publicans I was working there since a young age and we’d often have farmers come in where we’d engage in discussion.
I’ve always been interested in Ag science and I think it’s important to further educate yourself in something that you’re very passionate about.
The lecturers teach you as if you’ve never studied chemistry, physics or even biology so that is a helping hand.
I put level 7 agricultural science down in the CAO and I was delighted when I was offered it at WIT.”
