Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Manufacturing Engineering Graduate Lukas Birkas continued on his studies to a masters degree

"During my four years in Waterofrd Institute of Technology (WIT) I have met some very interesting people who were unique and different. This has helped to make me more open minded, which will be very helpful for future development.

During this time I have been involved in several projects, from the development of a perpetual motion machine in the Higher Cert, nano-technological research in the Bachelor degree, to the development of a methodology based on Six Sigma in my BSc honours degree.

I am currently applying for the Masters degree by research in the nanotechnology field for the nanotechnology research group in WIT led by Joe O'Mahony.

The Manufacturing Engineering course is very interesting, it helped me grow as a person and opens a wide range of possible positions in the job market."
