Neasa loved the creative side of business and marketing which she knew from a young age and went on to achieve Marketing Student of the Year 2016
"I chose to study Marketing because I have always had an interest in Business but I prefer the creative side of business. I am a very out-going person and the marketing and online media course gave me the opportunities to give presentations and use my personality in my career.
I also realised from a young age, that I didn’t want to sit behind a desk! I chose to study in WIT because it is close to home and I was lucky to have it on my doorstep. WIT also has the most recognised business school in the country.
The most enjoyable part of the course for me was the live projects. These live projects gave us a real life company with a marketing project to be completed by us. This gave us hands on projects and gave us the motivation to put our heart and soul into them.
Personally, I was lucky to be in a group that won 3 out of the 4 live projects through my 4 years at WIT. I was also honoured to be awarded Marketing Student of the Year. I would highly recommend the Marketing and Online media course as it is easy to do something you love."
Study the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Marketing & Digital Media at WIT
The BA (Hons) in Marketing & Digital Media is a four-year level 8-degree course, which prepares students for employment in marketing in the digital age.
Students who undertake this degree will develop an in depth knowledge in a wide range of modules such as; Introduction to Marketing, eMarketing and Print Media Advertising.
Work experience takes place for students in semester 7 of the degree. Companies who have taken part in the placement initiative include Coca-Cola, Aer Lingus and Bulmers.
