CIPD accreditation being offered on completion of her Masters is one of the elements that attracted Andrea to the MBS in HRM
Master of Business Studies in HRM student Andrea Dempsey started out her postgraduate studies having just completed an undergraduate degree (BBS in Equine Business) from Maynooth University
Her passion for the equine industry that led her to undertake the equine business course, but as I progressed throughout this course she developed a greater interest into the human aspects and elements of organization.
My motivation for doing the Master of Business Studies in HRM programme was:
After completing my BBS in Equine Business, I entered straight into the MBS with a specialism in HRM at WIT. During my Equine Business course, I undertook a variety of modules relating to both the equine industry and also business modules, which included HRM modules. From this, my interest grew in the area of HRM.This resulted in me taking the leap to start the MBS in HRM as I wanted to further my knowledge and gain more insights into HRM through a course focused on HRM, which led to me choosing the MBS in HRM at WIT. In particular, I was attracted by the CIPD accreditation being offered on completion of the course.
My advice for adult learners considering this programme at the moment is:
My advice for anyone considering undertaking doing the programme is to take the leap to do something you really enjoy and are passionate about, it will be worth it and although it can be hard work at times it is very rewarding!
Why I would recommend studying in Waterford/WIT:
I would definitely recommend WIT as a place to study as the community in WIT is very friendly and everyone is welcoming and helpful. Although this year has been difficult with the virtual learning, WIT has adjusted its experience to ensure it is student focused even in the virtual learning environment.
