Pat and Paul were both searching for a course that was not solely based on theory but on the application in sport as well, they found what they were looking for in WIT
Pat McDonagh from Bellmullet in County Mayo and Paul O’Riordan from Bray in County Wicklow both graduates of the MSc in Applied Sport & Exercise Psychology. Both with different sporting backgrounds, Pat from boxing and Paul from the GAA, they were drawn to the Masters in WIT through thorough research with one common goal, to add something different as coach, to help teams and athletes to be not just physically prepared but mentally prepared too.
About the course
The MSc in Applied Sport & Exercise Psychology is an 18 months course which provides the student with an in depth and comprehensive course of study in applied sport and exercise psychology designed to help enhance the sports participation and performance of athletes and coaches. The MSc in Applied Sport and Exercise psychology was shortlisted for Postgraduate Course of the Year Award 2019 in the annual gradireland Higher Education Awards & Symposium.
