Megan is one of two students who received best research poster and pitch in the Department of Science Awards which was held on Wednesday 22 of May.
Megan Quigley, a past pupil of Abbey Community College, Ferrybank, Waterford is one of two students at WIT to be awarded a Final Year Poster Presentation Award. Megan is a final year student is studying BSc (Hons) in Pharmaceutical Science.
“Winning this award has been one of my highlights from my time at WIT and I'm delighted to be acknowledged for the hard work I've put in over the course of my final year research project.”

The Department of Science at WIT recently held its Industry Sponsored Awards Ceremony 2019 which was sponsored by Eurofins Scientific, Source Bioscience, Environmental Science Association of Ireland, Sanofi, Bausch & Lomb, Sanofi, Dawn Meats, Comeragh Veterinary practice, Dairymaster, AIB and the Society of Irish Foresters.
This was their last assessment as undergraduates on the programme. Students analysed and summarised their project laboratory work carried out over the semester, and designed, prepared and presented a poster to staff, industry representatives and fellow students. Each student presented a 5-minute pitch and answered questions on their project by the assessing staff members. Feedback from both students and staff was that this was a really enjoyable way to discuss their project work and to finish their four years at WIT.
