WIT electronic engineering students and staff from WIT’s Student Life & Learning office ran a table quiz on March 13, 2018 in the Dome Bar, WIT to raise funds for the Solas Cancer Support Centre, Waterford.
The quiz was postponed twice previously due to poor weather. It was a great night with 10 quiz teams comprising of WIT students, WIT staff and the wider community. Everyone's positivity and drive was instrumental into making the Quiz into a vibrant WIT Community event.
A total of €465.70 was raised and this was presented to Ann Marie Power, fundraising co-ordinator, at the Solas Cancer Support Centre on the 22nd of June 2018. This was the fifth successive year that the quiz was ran.
The Solas Cancer Support Centre provides vital support services to cancer patients, their families and carers and is totally reliant on income raised through fundraising.
