1. Highest achievement to date
Captaining the Irish team v England in 2018 and also winning the Centenary shield with Ireland the following year
2. Favourite memory from sport so far:
Going to the u17 European Championship in Croatia with the Irish squad
3. What is your personal aim this year
To make the Irish colleges team and to get 15 First Division matches under my belt with Cobh
4. Who was your sporting idol growing up?
Vincent Kompany. Plays the same position and I just love his leadership on and off the field.
5. How do you prepare for each match?
Follow the same routine before each game, very important for me mentally as once I know I’ve done
the routine I know I’m ready for the match
6. What advice would you give to athletes wanting to improve?
Work hard and don’t let anyone ever tell you, you can’t do something
7. What do you do to relax/unwind?
I’m watching a few series’ on Netflix at the moment so usually watch them
8. How do you balance work/training/college?
It’s tough going to juggle all the different aspects in life but usually a weekly planner or that is a good way.
9. What is the best advice you were ever given?
Winners work hard and losers make excuses
10. Do you get nervous before competitions?
Definitely but I feel that nerves are a way of your body telling you you’re ready for the game.
