JJ Delaney and Tommy Walsh
How do you prepare for each event?
By eating the right food and drinking enough water the week of a match, and plenty of sleep.
What advice would you give to athletes wanting to improve?
To enjoy what you love doing and be prepared to put in the hard work to improve.
What do you do to relax/unwind?
Spend time with my friends
How do you balance work/college/training?
By trying to organize my college work around training so I can get the most out of my trainings.
What was the best advise you were ever given?
To go for every ball like it’s my last
Do you get nervous before big races/competitions and if so how do you deal with it?
Yeah I do but nerves are normal, if I wasn’t nervous I would know something isn’t right. You know your team mates are also nervous so it helps knowing we are there to help each other through it on the pitch.
