Cert in Economics and Finance lectures are aimed at upskilling those in employment in financial services or other sectors or those wishing to return to work

The School of Business at Waterford Institute of Technology recently launched a Level 9 Certificate in Economics and Finance in Kilkenny in partnership with State Street International.

Aimed at upskilling those in employment in financial services or other sectors or those wishing to return to work, this Programme has been in receipt of Springboard funding for 2018-19 and is primarily delivered in the evenings.

It is comprised of six modules with three delivered in each semester. These modules include: Econometrics, Seminar Series, Financial Derivatives, Corporate Financial Interpretation, Monetary Economics and Financial Risk and Regulatory Management. The School of Business has partnered with State Street International in running the programme with the lectures delivered in State Street offices in Kilkenny. Upon completion of the Programme candidates from State Street International and other companies will be able to progress on to the Masters in Business Studies (Economics and Finance).
