Zixuan Chen (also know as Ivy) says her MBS in Marketing at WIT made it possible for her to find a job in in Aunui, China, and be close to her parents
Why did you chose to do a masters in WIT?
I carried out research on colleges in Ireland and found that WIT was quite popular among international students who had come to study in Ireland. I already knew I wanted to do a masters straight after my bachelor’s degree in college as I needed a high level of education for the job sector I am hoping to pursue in and I also knew that in order to do this I would have to study overseas.
What factors of studying at WIT stood out to you as an international student?
The people of WIT are really nice and my lecturers were always very helpful. Thanks to the friendliness of the people of Waterford city and the college itself my level of English has improved as I was always comfortable asking for help. The weather was also a good factor although it does rain, a lot.
What are your plans for the future?
My plans are to return to China and find a good job, most importantly be close to my parent’s home and thankfully now that I have my master’s degree this is all possible.
