The final year music class added a little zoom cheer to their end of their college experience
The Covid-19 crisis resulted in an unexpected end to the college experience for final year students across the Institute. According to Music lecturer Dr Hazel Farrell, “There was a mixture of sadness and frustration for many as they felt they missed out on the typical celebrations and farewells they should have had”.
In an attempt to address this, a Zoom farewell was held for the final year students of the BA (Hons) in Music programme attended by staff, students, family members and friends.
Each student had the opportunity to present some of their work and share their thoughts. They introduced their own page in an e-yearbook they collaborated on to showcase a selection of their performances, compositions, music technology and research projects.
We are delighted to share their e-yearbook with you. Dr Hazel Farrell said "We are very proud of the Class of 2020 and how they adapted so well to such challenging circumstances. We wish them the very best in the future."
