Small class sizes, approachable lecturers and challenging yet easy to follow modules have all been part of Kyle’s first year experience
Kyle Sullivan is BA (Hons) Accounting student at WIT and a past pupil of Waterpark College, Waterford. He is a President’s Scholarship recipient for 2021.
I wanted to study this course at WIT because:
The accountancy course in WIT is renowned as one of the best accounting courses in the country. Students also benefit from the extensive exemptions granted by the national and international accountancy bodies.
Why I would recommend studying in Waterford:
The smaller class sizes allow students to develop close personal relationships with each other and the lecturers. The lecturers get to know you and are very approachable right from the beginning.
My favourite module:
My favourite module is Financial Accounting. It is a challenging module that gives you a direct insight into life as an accountant. All the modules are delivered in an easy to follow way and the lecturers are always happy to help.
My advice for CAO applicants to this course:
I would absolutely recommend applying for the large range of scholarships that the college offers and also putting yourself out there to gain experience, meet new people and improve your CV.
