Rohan Khan explains how SETU gives a wide scope with regard to post-graduate opportunities and now studies in Maastricht University in the Netherlands
"I went to school in Rockwell, Co Tipperary and came straight to SETU through the CAO after completing my Leaving Certificate. I wanted to study Psychology because firstly my dad is a Psychologist and the study of mind and behaviour really interested me.
I chose South East Technological University because it was close to home for me and it is known as the best IT in Ireland so why wouldn’t I? I travelled up and down to Waterford daily at the beginning but then I choose to make the move to Waterford. Overall, I felt that the lecturers were very supportive and my classmates great.
The Degree
The BA (Hons) in Psychology degree at SETU has a lot of scope with regard to post-graduate opportunities. For example, I am currently doing a Master of Science in Work & Organisational Psychology at Maastricht University in the Netherlands which is one of the best universities in Europe.
Don't underestimate the prestige of a degree from SETU. With the course being accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI), what more could you want from a course and an Institute!"
