Future collaboration
As part of the visit, on behalf of the Office for International Relations at WIT, Dr O’Neill also met with Colombian Government scholarship agencies and universities with a view to future collaboration. He also met with Irish Embassy officials at the newly opened Irish Embassy in Bogotá.
International Affairs Manager at WIT, Sinead Day added that “as the Irish Government and Enterprise Ireland have identified Colombia as a key strategic partner in Latin America, we see the development of academic and diplomatic links with Colombian institutions as an important part of the Institute’s internationalisation strategy and we greatly welcome these new connections.”
