2016-2019
Why did you choose to study in Waterford?
It was reasonably close to home. And I wish to participate in a career in agriculture.
What was your experience?
Very enjoyable. The array of people I met along the way was the best part. Or as I like to call it character building.
Can you recall your feeling when finding out you were offered a place in SETU?
I was very pleased.
What advice would you give to students considering your course?
Grab every opportunity you have and don't be afraid to put yourself out there. You would never know who you will meet.
Your course included a work placement, what was it like and how has it been of benefit?
The placement I did was on a farm. It was very beneficial in learning how to deal with employers and how they may react to every day pressures of farming.
Tell us whatever you want that we haven't asked about
I won an All Ireland Agri colleges medal with Kildalton beating Ballyhaise in the final. I also won a 7 aside hurling blitz with Kildalton.
Living arrangements
I lived away from home. It was a great way to learn how to deal with house mates cook, clean and learn how to pay bill's.
What is Waterford like as a city for college social life?
Very good social life. Very advisable to go out and meet new people.
