BSc (Hons) in Entertainment Systems Graduate Jack Power tells us how the course led him to find an interest in application development
"From an early age, I always had an intense fascination with video games. I would spend hours playing them with my brother, figuring out the unlocked levels and even imagining alternative plots.
When I was in sixth year, I was asked what I wanted to do. For me, the only real answer was something I am so passionate about; gaming.
I love the BSc (Hons) in Entertainment Systems because it genuinely interests me. I have found that it's something I'm good at, and I love the prospect of having a career in something I enjoy.
My gaming experience has also led me to find an interest in application development - which, without this course, I would have never even thought of.
I like finding my strengths in programming which at first was difficult, but now I take each challenge in my stride.
This year has been one of the best as I've really come to grips with the course materials and I feel like I have a thorough understanding of the subject."
