2km radius and 2m social distancing rule
All participants are asked to stay within their 2km radius and maintain social distancing of 2m throughout the event which has been endorsed by Pieta.
CEO of SETU Novus Mike Geoghegan said that his team are delighted to get behind this event. “It’s a great opportunity to virtually bring people together at this challenging time and we want to encourage people to utilise their 2km radius from their house to get out and get active. The event also allows us to support Pieta and the phenomenal work it does both in the South East and throughout Ireland.”
Wellbeing benefits
WIT Arena manager, John Windle spoke about the benefits of participation. “Exercise and feeling supported has amazing benefits on our health and wellbeing. In these stressful and uncertain times let’s come together virtually and support each other as well as a very worthy cause. We would encourage everyone to get involved in the event and to run, walk or jog with us on Saturday, 2 May at 10am.”
If people would like to log their activities on the day in order to reach a collective target just download the Strava App and join the WIT Arena Team.
