As part of their studies BA (Hons) Culinary Arts, students spend a year abroad, and documenting their experience via a dedicated blog is a key part of this experience
Waterford Institute of Technology's third year BA (Hons) Culinary Arts students who spend a year abroad have been busy documenting their experience via a dedicated blog https://bacainternational.blogspot.ie.
Students on the BA (Hons) Culinary Arts programme spend year 3 of their programme abroad; one semester working on an internship related to the food industry and one semester studying culinary related modules at a WIT partner university.
The experiences of semester 1, 2021 students include posts like ‘Hola from Barcelona’, describing student life at the University of Barcelona; a post about working as an intern in the 3-Michelin star restaurant, Noma in Copenhagen; living the life as a student in Lyon; the experience of a student in University of Ulster, Coleraine; navigating the Netherlands; and working in the 5-star Culloden Resort and Spa, Belfast.
