Mr Liam Doyle BSc(Hons), MBA
Liam Doyle is a lecturer in information systems in Waterford Institute of Technology. Prior to taking up a lecturing position Liam worked as an systems analyst/programmer for SETU Waterford with responsibility for developing WIT’s administrative computing systems. This role involved software development and network support. Liam has also advised a number of small, medium, and large companies on their use of information systems.
Liam focuses on the use of information systems for strategic advantage, business process analysis and design, e-commerce, supply chain management and supply chain information systems. He has a particular interest in the use of information systems by small and medium-sized organisations. Liam has taught a number of topics at undergraduate level including programming, systems analysis and design, database management, e-commerce, and management information systems. At postgraduate level he is joint programme leader for the M.Sc. in Information Systems Processes. He has taught modules on business process analysis and design, supply chain management, and project management. He has supervised a number of research master dissertations. Liam has worked on a number of collaborative research projects with European partners.
