Enterprise Ireland will soon be launching the CO-FUND programme called "Career-FIT PLUS".
Through Career-Fit Plus, Waterford Institute of Technology will offer fellowships to carry out research in our Technology Gateways, guided by an experienced WIT Academic Mentor as well as a Company mentor who are concerned not just for the fellows's scientific progress but also their training and development in line with the agreed career goals.
TSSG is looking to host 1 experienced researcher via funding through Career-FIT Plus Programme . In order to secure funding, the experienced researcher must develop a proposal with the host for the 31 December 2020 deadline.
TSSG is an internationally recognised centre of excellence for ICT research and innovation in the South East of Ireland, delivering innovative solutions to our clients across multiple industries, including Agritech, HealthTech, Smart Cities, Communications and Energy Sectors.
Project idea and researcher opportunities:
TSSG and HaloSOS are looking for a research candidate to develop a body of research for Voice AI for the Staff Safety Solutions in Enterprise Clients Globally, in the hospitality market.
There will be opportunities for the researcher to apply the strategy in the real world as part of the secondment with the partnering company, HaloSOS*
- The researcher must fulfil the MSCA mobility and experienced researcher requirements.
- The researcher must have a depth of knowledge in the areas of Voice AI, NLP, programming, data analysis, wireless networks, IoT, mobile and wearable devices.
- The researcher will be required to demonstrate research excellence. Experience in the commercialisation of research is desired. Furthermore, a track-record in peer-reviewed publications, invited contributions is required.

1 MSCA mobility: To comply with the mobility requirements, applicants must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Ireland for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately before the call deadline.
Experienced researcher requirements: The researcher must have at least 4-years full time research experience or hold a doctorate before the deadline.
*C.Vs will be shared with the partnering Industry company unless otherwise indicated or requested.
Researchers awarded a Fellowship will be hosted and employed by a Third Level Institution associated with a Technology Centre/Gateway in Ireland for 3 years, including a mandatory secondment to industry for up to 12 months.
