A master by research degree is a commencement research degree suitable for a short, well defined research question or research project applied to a company or organisation.
Masters by research are often pursued where specialised knowledge of a particular subject is required or where students wish to develop high level careers in fields where independent problem solving, analysis, and precision writing is required, for example, in research, business consultancy, market analysis.
