The Graduate Business Society offers graduates an invaluable opportunity to broaden their graduate learning and social experiences by organising and participating in important academic and social events throughout the year.
Active membership of the Graduate Business Society provides opportunities for personal development and provides students with an outlet to share life experiences and to contribute both academically and socially to life at college outside of exams and group assignments.
The society is only as good as its members and a good blend of energy and enthusiasm, as experienced this year, can lead to great things. This year sees the hosting of our inaugural technology in business conference entitled “Harnessing Technologies for Strategic Business Advantage”, which after a lot of hard work and organization should be a fantastic event.
Roles available for the society include President, Vice-President, Marketing Officer, Planning and Development Officer and Treasurer. Planning for the Graduate Business Ball usually requires a sub-committee of additional society members to ensure smooth organisation of our most important annual event.
The Graduate Business Society Annual Ball
The Annual Ball is the marquee event for the Graduate Business Society, representing a unique date on the academic calendar for all in the School of Business. This important and popular social event offers a hugely enjoyable night out. The Ball is attended by current and former Graduate Business students, as well as Business Lecturers.
There are also special invited guests from the academic and corporate spheres, including keynote speakers. Graduate Business Student of the Year Awards are presented to those outstanding students on each of the graduate programmes for their academic success, as well as their extended contributions to the School of Business and the Institute overall.
