Common Entry Engineering programmes

WD007 Bachelor of Engineering (Common Entry)

Course options from common engineering:

Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering programme

WD230 BEng (Hons) in Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering

If you have already applied to WD004 Common Entry Engineering through the CAO

To ensure that you apply for and are offered your preferred engineering programme at WIT, there's a number of things you need to do:

  • A similar programme, WD007 Common Entry Engineering, which has four programme choices instead of five, has replaced this course and is now open for applications directly to WIT.

  • A full four year honours degree, WD230 BSc (Hons) in Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering, has replaced the mechanical & manufacturing option through common entry engineering and is now open for applications directly to WIT.

  • You can apply for either or both of these programmes now using our online application form.

  • The deadline for applications is Tuesday, 7 August 2018 at 5.15pm and, if successful, we will issue your offer on Monday, 20 August at 5.00pm.

  • You should remove WD004 Common Entry Engineering from your CAO as it is no longer available and amend your other preferences before 5.15pm on 1 July 2018.

Important information on changing preferences: If you have listed WD004 on your CAO and do not change your preferences, you will automatically be offered the next eligible choice on your level 8 list. If you don't have another choice on your level 8 list, you will be offered your first eligible preference on your level 6 and 7 list. If you have only chosen WD004, you will not be offered anything so it is essential that you review and amend your CAO course listings.
